Healing Family and Ancestors: Resonant Family Constellations

Broadcast on January 30, 2023
With Jill Purce
Hosted by Vanessa Gonzalez Codorniu

Jill Purce will explore how to set yourself, your family, and future generations free by transforming clamorous ancestors into benign allies and powerful guides. When ancestors or family members have died or left the family at a young age — or under difficult circumstances —these traumas of separation cause painful patterns of exclusion to be frozen in time, trapped in the ancestral field and oftentimes passed on to current family members. This work liberates and heals later generations who have become caught in their ancestral field.

In this session, you’ll discover:

  • Ways to become aware of family and ancestral patterns that affect you
  • How to liberate yourself from inherited traumas
  • How to find joy through the induction of order into your ancestral field

Jill Purce

Voice Teacher, Family Constellations Therapist and Author

Jill Purce launched the international sound-healing movement in the 1970s with her rediscovery and teaching of ancient, magical healing vocal techniques combined with overtone chanting and powerful group chant. She pioneered the practice of healing ancestral traumas with her Healing Family, Ancestor, and Resonant Family Constellations programs.

After her postgraduate fellowship in the biophysics department at King’s College London, where she worked with Maurice Wilkins (Nobel Prize for DNA), she lived and worked with German composer Karlheinz Stockhausen, exploring the spiritual dimension of music. She learned overtone chanting in the Himalayas with the chant master of the Gyutö Tibetan Monastery. Jill has been following the philosophy and practice of Dzogchen since 1978 when she started working with the late Tibetan Lama, Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche.

Jill, who lectures and conducts workshops internationally, has taught at the English National Opera, the English Shakespeare Company, and in hospitals, schools, monastic communities, and businesses. Over the past 25 years, she’s presented “Healing the Family and Ancestors” workshops, a unique combination of family constellations, chant, and ceremony. Her recordings include Overtone Chanting Meditations and The Healing Voice
